Wedding photography

Everyone loves a good wedding, me included, so how great is it that I get to share your day and help tell your story. I am married, so I know only too well that this is one of the happiest days of your life & I also understand how much work goes into the planning of your big day to make it perfect.

Your wedding images are irreplaceable memories, moments that can only be captured and not retaken. Choosing a photographer who you click with (excuse the pun!) is really important.

What happens if you book me?

We can have a chat over the phone or meet up to discuss your day, no obligation of course, it’s helpful to know what you like and just as importantly, what you don’t like!

I for one don’t like being photographed, so I’d like to think I’m understanding if you’re a little shy; getting to know you both really helps and that’s why I like to do a pre-wedding shoot, this also helps you have a better understanding of what to expect from me.

I’m quite private on social media in terms of what I post of your special day, so I will leave that to you, but I’m happy do a ‘sneak peak’ on say Facebook before the final images are released. I will always check first that you are happy with the images I decide to use.

How do I work?

I aim to capture the emotions of the day; the laughter, sometimes the tears and those spontaneous moments and interactions that you might not have seen. I’m unobtrusive and certainly won’t treat your day as a photo-shoot. I won’t take you away from your guests for a long period of time; generally I hope to have about 20-30 minutes with you both, which is usually enough. My aim is to create timeless photos, with a few quirky ones thrown in just to add a little variety.

The natural candid shots you didn’t see me take are often everyone’s favourites, but we’ll include a few traditional ones too; this produces a good range of images. I will also capture your family & guests enjoying themselves, together with some group shots.

Finally, when staying for a full day I don’t shoot off straight away after the first dance, I do like to stay around a little while longer to get the amusing ones too, some ‘dad dancing’ and after auntie’s had a few!

All the images on my website are ‘real weddings‘ not styled shoots with models and reflect my style of shooting, if you like what you see, I’d love to hear from you.
